It seems MCI moved tanks around on various coaches, sometimes even within the same model like the MC8. Finally, the details are clearer.
On this coach, the wet tank is in the rear and a couple large ones are in the front. There is a small one on the side in the rear.
The link is a folder that contains images and air system schematics for the MC8. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nllb71oipq4v2yr/AABiDDy6nksEJJR-Tgqu8zKOa?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nllb71oipq4v2yr/AABiDDy6nksEJJR-Tgqu8zKOa?dl=0)
Note: Drawings will be uploaded later.
What was interesting is when I pulled the valve, just some clean oil came out. Nothing else, no sludge or muck or any of the other stuff reported. This was the first I pulled it since getting the coach 3 months ago and about 3000 miles.
Don did you just pull the ring or actually take the valve in the tank out. I would take it out and wiggle a screw driver in there and see if anything come out. Sometimes they are full of crap. Put a white piece of paper under it while draining to see any stuff that drains out. Also you should drain those tank after you bring the coach in or stop for the night or day if you are on the road. If you have an air dryer you need to service it yearly. change the o rings, check valves, surge valve on the bottom and change the desiccant cartridge as well as check the heater to make sure it is working.
I always thought the MC8 was like the MC5C with the two up front are passenger side wet tank and other side is Emergency or park tank, one in tool bay under driver is Aux tank and the dry tank is in the back bay behind the metal wall although I took out the wall so I could get to that tank.
Ping tank is in the engine bay passenger side at the bulkhead with the sign that says drain daily with a red arrow. ;D

The first link now has folder called air-line-diagrams. Crazy there are 14 different air system diagrams for the MC8. The wet tank is located in the rear or front depending.
Dave, Will remove valve and see what comes out next trip to bus. Thanks
All the pages have the serial number for the unit but it blows you away when the stuff has been changed over the years
Clifford,
True, MCI serial number. The difficulty is getting the correct TMC to MCI cross reference. I've searched but not found the holy grail that says TMC serial number 1286 correlates to MCI serials xxx. Makes it difficult when getting down to specifics like air system layout and line routing.
Yep the TMC plant in New Mexico was set up mostly to handle orders from Transit Authorities across the US no telling what their specs where
The link in the first post is dead. Here is the right one:

Don that's because your TMC Bus was built by Aliens in Roswell NM. ;D
Would like to see them but this site wants access to my Google account. I think not.
Any chance you can email them to me at craig@gumpydog.com.
thanks

Legal or illegal?
Space type lol ;D
@craig - just curious what the access issue is? Dropbox has no connection to Google. The link should be public so anyone who clicks this link in a browser should get the files. I'd rather get this working or find another public access site for the docs. thanks don
with so many variations, I need to determine which diagram best matches my coach, especially as it's a TMC and no crossref to the MCI serials. In order to do that, I want the safe ramps but still need to sort out how long to make each landing step. Such a process but fun? lol
Don unless someone moved them, The front wheel well should be two tanks left is wet tank and right is Park tank. Under the driver in the tool bay up front is your accessory tank and in the back in the bay the grey fat one on the left is the Dry tank. The short 1 inch pipe(Says drain daily right on it) in the right rear side door area against the wall is the ping tank. ;D
