Title: front axle
Post by: olebusman on October 03, 2017, 08:08:07 AM
Does anyone know if the complete front axle out of a 1982 flxable (870- I think) fit in my 4106. I already used the shepard steering. Everything worked except the steering shaft. Now I would like the brakes and auto slacks. Anybody ever tried??   olebusman

Needs to be a 96 wide donor for simpler install.

happy coaching!

Yeah, It's an 8 footer. It looks the same to me, I just thought I'd see if anyone else had done it. Thanks   olebusman

When you say the same,,the air bag pads will have to be in the same location,, the radias rod mounts will have to be the same,, the caster adjuster mounts the same ,, you have your work cut out .>>>Dan

True,,,But,,they have to bolt TO something that exists on the axle and line up correctly.>>>D
