I just saw this on Facebook and wanted to share it. If anybody can help, please make a phone call. Or gather a few friends to help out. I just copied this statement from here (https://www.facebook.com/ArcadiaRally/?hc_ref=ARSuoHNb5A6vWHQZ7waMaYBYUzsUael06kqReazxvIJ0wcN4Jd9lnv7-tXBx_kaeJHw&fref=nf).
"We are sorry to announce that Tisha and I are not going to host the Arcadia Rally this coming January. If anyone has a possible interest in becoming the host or hosts I would be happy to discuss the details with you. Everything is still in place at this time and it would be a very easy for a transition to take place. If you have any interest please feel free to reach out. Bill3@CarlisleEvents.com or 717-215-0700"

Such a great rally and it just seems hard to get people to run it now that Brenda and bill aren't there (RIP Bill)

Is it that much work? Whats the planning that goes into it? Anyone have any insight. I get some small events.. dinners.. dates. Whos coming. We have never made it down. Talk about it.want too
Hi Brent,
It doesn't have to be complicated at all...
Mostly organizing the folks that are attending (parking)! The entertainment is not necessary. The food can be
simple if thought out well. Just get pricing on a catering company.
Talk to past hosts like Jack Conrad, Brenda Plhen, or Bill the current host Bill3@CarlisleEvents.com
Nick-
The phone lines are buzzing... various peeps are making inquiries... the devil is in the details...
Most importantly, don't give up hope yet, keep the calendar pencilled in.
"Viewer participation" is going to required, no matter what happens, so volunteers be ready to pile on to help, when the call comes!!!
Happy coaching!

Is there any further/current info on this?

It took a couple years for us to make it work but my wife and I intend on being there for the first time. I tried several times to register and pay but it wouldn't go through- (now I know why). It will be our first rally ever and are willing to help the entire week (12/26-1/1). So if you are thinking of pulling the trigger on hosting, you have some cheap labor! If not we'll be boondocking at some rest area near alligator alley for new years.

T-minus 33 days. I don't see any signs of life on the Arcadia website, all is quiet on this site as well. If I have to spend an extra week after Christmas at my mother's in Sebring, I'm sure my wife will leave me...
The view from here...
The Arcadia Rally has good potential for a return for New Year's 2019.
There are willing participants.
There are cautiously optimistic leadership groups.
But there wasn't enough time left for 2018. There are negotiations with partners, sponsorships, insurance, and the recruitment of a solid volunteer core, to run the rally.
Watch this space...
Happy coaching!

Thanks for the view from up there. We've cancelled our reservations around the trip to Arcadia this year. Not sure when we'll be able to get there again.
