Tom, Its been a serious thought for some time, and been listening to many good post. Decisions decisions with heavy leaning to complete removal.
Luvrbus, Many times I agree these Coach transformations are war zones! Here time is still part of the battles, and many ahead in this valley for sure. I easily remember how my work bays looked next to many of my leads back in the day. They would still get twice the work done, not a spot on them. I'd shake my head look at myself and wonder how this is done??? Bewildered.
What I can say honestly is im not fighting the $clock, Its all good times or take a break. And priority is for more lifts, dollies, jacks and anything better for health getting things done.

Since you are still debating the merits of reinstalling the system, the more methodical way that you removed it makes sense.
That condenser looked a bit rough around the edges (literally) and the evaporator looked to be a bit loaded up with lint and debris.
The Carlyle compressors (I believe ours is a 05G), are not that uncommon for various industrial applications. You should be able to source parts from suppliers besides just MCI.
Looks like you are off to a good start, regardless of the direction that y'all choose to take.
Definitely keep the OTR heat. It's a blessing when driving in the cold

Jason, Thanks! im still learning and (thats amazing) so off and running here. Good point my debating these decisions here, always looking ahead. It seems the methodical term applies to me spot on, no matter how crazy the situation. I'm confident the otr ac equipment is history!. On the condenser it could use the fins combed, I find myself doing that to new ones. This one I thought is really in great shape being no real corrosion. That seems the typical issue I seen with these aluminum parts. Remembering they don't use much salt and calcium in Tennessee, something I considered quite a bit. The street side is better but things like this are heavy and there's that pretty weld access on the fins. Although used is used, I have been sent to many a auction to inspect, but this is not an ad so I'm quiet. When the time comes I will sure appreciate more of the good tips. I managed to pulled the driver evap earlier, a busy week here so who knows when the compressor will show up on the link then on to another task.
Scott, I hear ya with the heater, I have did enough freezing in my short time. Some how I will have more than the drivers heater core. This I'm still debating and drinking way to much coffee with. But hey, listening to all the ideas here with the recommendations is Experience and that Matters a lot in my world.
