One of my goals is to restore the round headlights on our 4106 and get rid of the rectangular ones. I finally tracked down a pair of the fiberglass headlight housings. Unfortunately, the actual light assemblies (buckets, adjusters, etc) and the trim rings are not really serviceable. What I got only included 3 of the trim rings and those would need new chrome.
Any thoughts on some type of aftermarket headlight assemblies and trim rings which would fit? It looks like 64-71 Chevelle headlights used a similar mounting assembly and might be able to work, but I have been drawing blanks on the chrome trim rings (the ones that show on the outside - not the ones that hold in the headlight). Anyone know of trim rings from some other original use which will fit around the headlights?

Try bobschevytrucks,com. I got headlight
buckets and bezels from them a while back for my 4104.

Tried them. The problem I'm running into is that the 4106 uses four 5-3/4" headlights, and I think the 4104 uses the more common 7". On every other application I've found with the 5-3/4" lights, each side's pair was mounted with a common outer shell and separate inner shells. The 4106 uses separate outer and inner shells for each light.
The best I've found so far is a pair made for a Peterbuilt 359. They are done in a way that I think could be cut in half, and each half used to mount one light on the 4106. If these could be mounted in the fiberglass body panels, then I'd only have to find headlight bezels to fit, possibly off a '66 Impala.
There might be a few cars in the UK with the same size lights but I have not yet found a supplier in the US.

I've now got the necessary pieces to assemble the round headlights, at least I think so. Here are the fiberglass shells with the OEM headlights. The fiberglass should clean up nicely, but you can see that the headlights are rough, especially in back. I'm going to replace the headlights with an assembly meant for a semi, I think a Peterbilt 359. I did this by surgically separating the two cans, and then dropping into the fiberglass shell.
Right now it's just loosely in place, but I think it will work. The chrome bezels are repo bezels for a 1964 Impala.
I will post more photos as this progresses.

I think you got it. This kind of work is likely to be helpful for other people so please keep this thread updated.
