Title: eBay interesting experience
Post by: Zephod on July 22, 2017, 02:12:20 PM
I ordered a remote camera that I can use for bus security on eBay. No problem. I'd thought I'd ordered from a USA supplier but it seems I ordered from China. Now I have to wait for the backwards walking pack mule to swim across the pacific carrying it. I hate ordering from China - it's too darned slow.

Anyway, about 5 hours after I ordered, I had an email from eBay saying they had deleted the listing but that I should still receive my item and that if it didn't come, I should use their system to pursue a refund. Of course that's sometime mid August.

Being curious I looked and the user was no longer registered either. I'm a bit skeptical now about whether I'll receive my camera. I know it was only ten bucks but there's a principal there.

I used - in the old days - to find 75% of eBay transactions were problematic. This is a rare exception now. It's the very first time I have had this happen though!
