Title: Allison B400 Speed Sensor
Post by: dickegler on January 26, 2007, 08:33:16 PM

Does anyone know the pulse count per revolution of the output shaft for the world transmission B400?  I'm programming cruise control on a DDEC2 and need the count.

Thanks

Hello:
In the parts manual for b400 under SPI 13-WT-94 page 2 of 2 ; I found a changeout of parts from old to new output speed signal wheel. the new part is 29510781 . THis drawing shows 32 teeth on the wheel; (I cannot confirm if the drawing is an accurate reproduction but it looks full size.)   Now I do not  know how the sensor reads the wheel. Does it read both on and off pulses; or just on pulses which would indicate 32 pulses per rev. The   troubleshooting manual talks about shaft rpms for overspeed control.     Not sure this is what you want ...    I have a b400R and will be looking at the signals in about a month to figure out how to interface it to the mci 7      cheers mike
