Title: Looking for a good mechanic or shop inn the Dallas area
Post by: jdpilot on July 02, 2017, 09:25:36 PM
Hi everyone. I have been following this forum for years and now I need some help. I have an oil leak on my 8v71n. Looks like it is coming from the alternator housing or gasket. I know MCI is in Dallas but have never dealt with them. Any recommendations on them or a good shop or mechanic in the area or out of the area? I store my bus in the Athens, Tx. Thanks John

    Hi;
      I would suggest checking out a local charter outfit.  Ask the shop
      foreman if they do outside work or if one of his mechanics do
      side jobs.  Should be several charter companies in the Dallas area.
                                  Good luck,    Merle.

John,

I have taken my bus to Genes Charters in Burleson. Family owned outfit and the Dad monitors the sons as they work on the coach. They have a fleet of Neoplans and mcis and were very familiar with my two stroke coach. Just a thought. I was very happy with them.

Hello,
I am located in the Palestine,Texas area out by the Palestine,TX airport.
And I own a 1974 GMC 4905A Buffalo conversion.
Also I am a retired A&P aircraft mechanic.
Genes Charters in Burleson,Texas I think that Mr Gene has passed away you might call them to make sure if I am correct if the charter company is still open and the boy,s are still doing the maintenance on the fleet of coaches.
