Title: Fixing a Trace inverter
Post by: Geoff on June 26, 2017, 08:32:00 PM
I just got my repaired Trace inverter board back from JB Inverters.  My original Trace SW2512MC lost the digital display when I went to push a control button and a one inch lightning flash (static electricity) jumped from my finger to the digital display and killed the display board.  Dick Wright sent me a remote control board and that got me going, but I wanted my old board fixed.  JB Inverters has an ad on eBay to fix Trace inverter control boards and I sent him my old one and he fixed it for $104.00.  I'm happy.

Good info for the "Vendors and Service" file.  I checked www.jbinverters.com/home/ (http://www.jbinverters.com/home/) and got a lot of info.  Shipping from the East Coast may be an added expense but a good inverter service co. is hard to find.  Thanks,  BH

Looks like it's www.onestopcustomshop.com/ (http://www.onestopcustomshop.com/) -- the website has photos, etc.  Looks like good work.

JB Inverters has an ad on eBay, that is how I found them.  I had called a couple of inverter repair shops and they wanted too much money.  JB gave me a quote over the phone that was reasonable and they stuck to it.

And the website says Chino, CA, which should be convenient for anyone in the east LA, Riverside/San Bernardino, Pomona, Anaheim/Orange co. areas.  Website indicates they welcome "dropoffs".
