Has anybody else used amorphous panels? Before anybody goes on about others being more efficient, I need amorphous for a specific reason.
I just bought one via eBay and it was DOA. I think it's because there are gaps in the film.

Down in the right corner there's no black coating. There are lot of patches like that.
The 15W Harbor Freight panel has a plastic mount that I don't much care for. Attached to the front of the bus I think the plastic would just disintegrate. This has an aluminum mount which is way better. It's also 20W which is better again.

It's quite a nice looking panel though at $40 plus $15 shipping, it was grossly overpriced.
Now I have to figure out how to push the seller into taking it back and either giving me a refund or a working panel. That's the worst thing about buying anything online. If it arrives working, it's all smiles. If it arrives broken, it's a nightmare.

That panel looks like it has been used already, or at minimum extremely low quality. Looks like water corrosion in the corners of the panel.
If the auction said it was a working panel then I'd just file a not as described case with eBay and get the seller to take it back.
Sorry it's not working. Please contact seller first and try to sort out. If you are unable to come to agreement in accordance with terms of sale, then contact eBay resolution department. Do expect to pay return shipping.

I had doubts when I saw how grimy the panel was. It was covered in a dusty film.

I contacted them and asked for assistance as it doesn't seem to be working. I had one response where they said they were going to ask their technical people (if you can believe that).

There doesn't seem any option to claim the item as fraudulent.

Try contact the seller. I believe that was where I found the "item not as described" option when I had a similar issue a few months ago.

I gave it a negative review and had a pop up option to initiate a return since I checked another pop up as defective. A further pop up told me that the seller has to pay return shipping costs for faulty items. My best guess is they'll issue a refund and just tell me to trash it rather than lose money. It's come from China and from my time at D Hell, shipping ($4k per container) often cost more than what was in the container. I doubt there's a return program in place. I bet the seller imported a 40 foot container stuffed with panels and will just eat the cost of the duffers. Interestingly, I noted the same seller has the same panel listed at $25 while I paid $39. Both add $15 shipping.

Yeah. That's not eBay's policy nor is it legally binding under consumer legislation.
I expect the seller to prevaricate fir a week or two before eBay steps in and issues a refund. Meanwhile I took a trip to Harbor Freight and found a 15W panel. It's not as powerful but will probably do the job. I need the panel now lol.

I'm impressed. The seller refunded and requested feedback editing. That's now possible! So we're both happy and when I was out today, I picked up a Harbor Freight 15W panel. That cost exactly what I spent on the junk panel.

FYI. when a vendor has superior ratings as this seller, it's really healthy to take a breath and work to get it sorted out. These folks sell thousand of things and aren't experts to check it all out. They are committed to doing their best to resolve unsatisfactory transactions.
Ratings don't get better than this http://www.ebay.com/usr/squirrel-treasure?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 (http://www.ebay.com/usr/squirrel-treasure?_trksid=p2047675.l2559) with such a long track record.
