More a data point than a wake. :-\
This 1974 CC land cruiser sold yesterday at Ritchie Bros Auction in Edmonton for $35k CAN.

Thanks to Clifford and Joe here for helping get the bus inspected. It is a very clean and upgraded CC coach.
For those wanting to experience the auction live, here's the recorded auction. Spoiler - you'll not hear any moaning or cussing at the end. LOL

If the market was so horribly soft, I would have bid more but you can buy coaches all day long and hardly get a nibble on the sell side these days with no relief in site. Hard to see any upside in the current conditions with plenty of potential headwinds ahead. Just did not feel good about a quick flip if needed.
Remember also, buying via auction has some restrictions, like not being able to drive test the coach. At best, you'll start it and maybe put it in gear and roll forward and backward a few feet. Testing of all coach systems is limited to your eyes, ears, and hands; no tools. All that feeds into the risk side of the formula and as we all know even a bus sneeze is not cheap to clear up. And HOPING everything is fine is what says a fool.
And a BIG thank you to Clint at Truck Dynasty in Edmonton for doing an inspection too. Very nice guy and filled out as much of the 6 page inspection sheet. Thanks again and hope to see you here.
well worth the price they got but needed a up date inside . did like the pink sink

Yeah you can't buy a nice late model fifth wheel trailer that will fall apart in about 10 years for that price and that don't count the truck. I wouldn't worry about resale unless you're trying to make money on a deal. Most of us keep ours for years. They will most certainly go down in price after you buy cause these puppies ain't investments that will make you money down the road after purchase and after wrapping more money in. .
Actually that was $35k lame canuck bux which I guess is roughly 25k greenbacks.
2 of my boys were there watching it sell and while I hope the new owners are very happy with it that was a lot more than they and I thought it was worth.

Corrected the price, thanks Bob. I'd REALLY love to chat with someone present to get their viewpoint on how the bidding went. Look for a pm.
