Title: Pennsylvania conversion warehouse liquidation
Post by: zubzub on June 04, 2017, 03:53:38 AM
Saw this on craigslist, probably interesting to anyone nearby.  Tons of parts and prices seem low in general.

https://allentown.craigslist.org/search/sss?userid=39933416

P.s. U need to scroll through as there is a bunch of other stuff the seller is getting rid of.

I was thinking it might be his stuff but probably not him liquidating.  If it is his stuff he probably ran out on the rent.

The location and a lot of the parts all point to Sam Walker's place.

I noticed in one of the ads that it said something about the new owner wanting the building cleared out.

Don't know if it's Sam or one of his cohorts behind the ads. . .

Caveat.

I can't say for sure that this is Sam's place or not but the picture of the open top bus sure looks like the parking lot I saw when I attempted to meet Sam in person.  At the time Sam said he could not meet with me because he had a customer in his office that he was going to sell a Neoplan to for 20 million dollars.  I wonder if the deal went through?

I looked at some of the pics. I can't say for sure, but it really looks like his place. It was dumpy, old and shady, just like he is.

Any guesses on whether those fiberglass end caps are usable and/or would fit a 102a3?  Short of finding a set of R&M caps being resold by someone that changed their mind, I am going to have to be a little more open minded about capsif I decide to want a roof raise.

I have exchanged a few emails with the seller.  He says that he has a few already made caps.  From photos and description I am gathering that they are the front.  Sounds like you would have to buy the mold and make a rear cap if interested.  Hard to say how much life is left in those molds.  I would imagine that if there was a lot of money to be made in caps, R&M would still be making them.  However, a knowledgable and patient person, might be able to make enough money to offset the purchase price.  If the molds aren't at the end of their life, you might be able to do better than that.

Years ago I temp'ed for a company that made fiberglas tanks.  Since then, I've made it a point to avoid any fiberglass work whenever possible.

It is Sam Walker old place. I just got back from there. The new owner's of the building are trying to empty it out.
I purchased the molds for the 9. I have to go back out and pick up the last 2 yet. I should have brought a bigger trailer.

Yep Mark that is exactly who it is. 6 years ago he tried to sell my wife and I that blue-green bus in the back round. It says on the side Angelfire as in the young singing group of some kind then he said he was taking stuff out of it for another bus it would put all new stuff in it if we wanted to buy it. After doing some searching on him and his prison stint and cases still to go we declined. :'(
