Title: Rare Scale Model
Post by: RJ on May 27, 2017, 01:34:25 AM
There's a scale model for sale on eBay right now of the very rare GMC PD4901 - the "Golden Chariot" - of which GM only built a single prototype.

It's item number 112410150435

Yes, it's not cheap - but then again, have you ever seen a model of this coach before?

FWIW & HTH. . .

I was thinking pretty hard about it... but it just doesn't get the mpg I was looking for!!!  ;D

It is a great looking model/bus though; amazing they only ever built 1!

Nah, I'll let you real busnuts fight over it. Shoot, I can almost buy one tire for the listed price.

If I had to guess, it's probably in a forgotten building at one of GM's plants or Jay Leno's house.

Dan -

Wilson's Bus Lines in MA owns the Golden Chariot, which, I understand, is undergoing restoration.

They also own one of the rare articulating Golden Eagles that is in operating condition, which they use for special events.
