Just got a call from a nice couple considering buying a 1985 Eagle in the San Jose area. Is there anyone in the area with Eagle experience that can look at it to see if it is relatively rust free and the torsalastics are in good condition? If so, please post here or contact me and I will give you their contact info. They just want to be sure the bus is in good condition as they are not familiar with buses. They want to live and travel in it. They said they will make it worth your while if you are willing to check it out. They live in the area too and will go with you. Contact me and I will forward them your contact info.

Bay Cities Diesel Machining in Benicia CA. services old buses. A couple members here know of their work.
Bay Cities only works on engines. Coach Works in Alameda works on buses. Look for them on the net.

Besides Complete Coach Works in Alameda that Geoff mentioned, you might also consider contacting the Pacific Bus Museum in Fremont. Many of their volunteers have extensive bus experience and possibly one of them might be willing to assist these folk.
Don't forget to post your help request on your FB page, too!
FWIW & HTH. . .
;)
Might also contact Don Fairchild and see what it would take for his services. He is familiar with Eagles and as we ALL know very good with 2 Stroke Detroits!
If they are willing to pay for his time I'm sure he'd go for it!
;D BK ;D
Complete Coach Works - This place services revenue buses so won't offer much for the house systems.
I recommend Don Fairchild as he did an inspection for me recently.
You might try these folks. I spoke to the owner several times while looking at a couple 102D3 he had for sale. He mentioned having access to bus mechanics; they could inspect the factory parts of the bus; again, no conversion expertise.

There's always Valley Power; same, no conversion experience but they do mobile work.
