Title: B&B In Vegas
Post by: luvrbus on May 10, 2017, 07:35:12 AM
Gary is closing B & B and has plenty of parts for different buses you can contact him or Van @702-592-6746.I know you don't post for sale stuff here but he has too much stuff to list, from shop equipment to parts over a 30 year old gathering of items

Wow when did this happen. He has lots of engines and engine pieces and trim parts he showed me and that is just one building.
Thanks for the memories Gary and Van. We had so much fun and got lots of information from you both the Day we were there.  Loved the stories you told and made a lot of sense out of some stories we always wondered about. Finally got the facts.
Hope the Dam rally will still be going. Good luck to you both.....

Hi All, if you are looking for MCI or GM and especially Eagle  parts, this is a great opportunity to get rare parts, plus interior parts for all, some new but most used, at good prices. This has to do with new ownership and their unreasonable expectations for a closein property. This is all going to happen in a veryy short time period, so dont hesitate, if you have been thinking about parts for your bus. If you have been to B&B, in the past you already know what great people are there, so call or show up, and get a great deal for hard to find parts and do a good turn for Gary. tom, lvmci...

These kinds of events happen rarely so it's very tempting to get pulled back into doing the conversion. One just might be able to assemble just about all system components, fittings, bits and pieces for a bargain price. Add to stripped and insulated bus, mix in some plumbing and wiring, and maybe even have your own converted bus. Sounds tempting but still a huge effort and many months and $$ for all those little bits that you never thought you needed. Back to shopping. :)

I am very sorry to hear this.  While I never managed to get to B&B, I did enjoy getting to spend some time with Van at the dam rally.  I can't imagine the upheaval this will cause Gary and Van.  I lament the nail in the coffin this represents in our bus hobby.

Was there to visit with Gary and Van end of March- VERY nice people, lots of info and parts. Too bad they are winding down, but it happens. I wish them all the best for what comes next. Thank you Gary & Van. Gerry H

The end of an era!

Gary and Sandy will be sorely missed by the bus community.

I will be forever indebted to Gary for the time he spent educating, entertaining, and assisting me. He was the first in-person contact I had when I was looking for a conversion. While he was up front and told me he had nothing ready to sell, he met me at the airport and spent two days showing me how it was done. My knowledge meter zoomed.

Over the ensuing 22 years I have picked his brain many times. He has done a good bit of work on my Eagle, including the spiral staircase.

I will greatly miss visiting with him and Van during Vegas visits.

There are not words to thank such a couple for the effort they have put into our life passions.

Hi All, My understanding is Gary will move many tools and equipment to his big home and shop on Ann Rd, on the out skirts of LV. Van may also work on projects there, Van lives in Boulder City,  home of That Dam Rally and they will both be available for emergencies, and your work on projects.
I think Van would take umbrage with being called a couple with Gary! But he is striking in heels and a perm...lvmci...

I stopped in at B&B a couple weeks ago and met Gary, Van, Tom & Don (not on the bus boards) as well as a couple who were there passing thru in an Eagle with a Jeep on a trailer. I don't remember their names but the bus had "Rainmaker" on it. (maybe Van will chime in with their names) And also the guy that has an Eagle with "spinners' on the drives. (I forgot his name too! yupp I'm bad with names until I get to know someone!)

The 2 or 3 times I was there, I was treated better than family. Gary and Van always had time to visit.

Well B&B has ceased operations. We are in packing up mode. All essentials are being loaded up in trailers or the two 40 ft.containers to be stored at (a close friend) Goodfellow's Crushers property @ Railrod Pass just outside of Vegas. Gary and I will be engaging in  different endeavors there for the time being. We thank everyone for the support, patronage thru out the years and well wishes from those we have come to know.
This has been very hard on the Bennett's  having been at this location for 27 years. Now I have been tasked with having to decide what to pack up for storage, what gets scrapped and what gets trashed. There is no easy way of doing this for me but  yet I take a deep breath every day  and carry on with the task at hand. Billy V.

Chin Up Van, All things will pass.

Sorry to hear of the trouble. Lots of greedy folks in the world now. Decisions are sometimes made for a few dollars without regard for longtime relationships.

Tell Gary and Sandy we will continue to care and look forward to visits somewhere in the future.
