Are these the correct starters for an 8V92TA in an MCI 96A3?

model # 8200330 39MT
If so I might have to bid on them.
I don't need one right now, and 26 of them is a little much.
If they go for the right price it could be quite the Deal.

That will work it has a rotating head in case you need to rotate the starter for a clearance problem
Those starters are a lot lighter than the 40 and 42 MT starters that came on thses ol' buses and you shouldn't have any problem re-selling them if you get them at a good price.

They are lighter like a floor jack need for the 42 Delco and 1 hand needed for 39 ;D
Would one physically fit and work on a 353? Or would it be way too big? Dunno.
I never worked on a 353 so I honestly don't know but I can tell you the 39 MT is like a baby to a 40 or 42 MT!

See for yourself what starter would work. http://www.delcoremy.com/starters/find-by-model-family/ (http://www.delcoremy.com/starters/find-by-model-family/)
It has been Bid up higher than I want to go.
...and the reserve still hasn't been met.
$1250.00 is my price for 4 of the starters I bet the lot goes for 3 to 4 thousand any takers ;D
The questions that spring to my mind are:
A) what idiot at which public agency thought they needed to inventory 26 of these? They're wonderful but c'mon - 26 items?
B) what genius decided that they should sell as one lot?
I'd be looking pretty hard at the final buyer if I was a local taxpayer, particularly so if the same name came up as the answer to both of these questions.
8200330 is 24v , 11 tooth
8200308 is 12v , 11 tooth.
I'd suggest watching eBay, I snagged a new delco for $175 - Sure was easy to install, lots lighter than the old one.
The reason I killed the starter was a bad ground. It was a sneaky thing, but what looked clean did not conduct electricity. :(
I made sure ALL connections were good - I installed new tin coated copper 4/0 marine wire with crimped ends & the good adhesive heat shrink. Dang wiring cost more than the batteries & starter ! :o :'( But it sure starts easy now!
Reserve met at @1250.00, 10.5% buyers premium and 7% sales tax.
Less than 60 bucks a starter if my math is correct, which it probably isn't.
