If you have been hanging out on this board for a long time you might remember ronthebusnut. He used to post alot and had a business selling bus conversion parts and parts in general. He had good prices as he got his stuff as surplus. I bought a lot of stuff from him including a new Webasto heater. Well, his website is still up and I ordered a couple of things from him a month ago and other than getting a confirmation email I have not received my parts. I emailed him two weeks ago about my purchase and never heard back. I know his son updated his website years ago but does anyone know what happened to Ron and why nobody is paying attention to his website?

I also made a purchase a few months back. Never received my order so I cancelled it after trying to get in touch with him. I left several messages with no reply. I just gave up.
I haven't been to Rons since summer of 15. He is about out of the RV business but still has some things. Email me and I will provide you a phone number and you can call him.
Sounds very similar to my experience a few months ago with the Fittings & Adapters company. I guess a working website doesn't always mean that its owner is still in business. F&A apparently went out of business in 2006, but their website is still up and running to this day! Strange. It makes me nervous to have given my credit card details to a site that could have possibly been hijacked by someone else.

Ron has been it poor health for the last few years,I was told he sold off his gasket making business.I'll try his cell tomorrow
Although I never dealt with him, this is a general commentary.I would be first to offer an apology if he would be having health problems. However having said that, someone should have at least put a message on the website stating such otherwise customers are going to get mad if they don't know what's going on. How does that help anything?
I'm dealing with a minor but with a principle based argument in regard to a restaurant. I ate at this very long established restaurant back in January and since I had been there before several times in the past, I had a rewards card and it didn't work. They had me fill out a sheet of paper, took the old card, and assured me that they would mail the new card to my house soon. Well, that was late January and I still heard nothing. I emailed them several times and the latest time, the "box full" message came up. I copied all the the email exchanges and mailed them to the place twice already and still nothing. No, I'm not going to call them since I want a record of this and if they're going to jerk me around, I'll have no record of it if they hang up the phone on me.
In the case of RONTHEBUSNUT, I don't know what good it would do to call him if he won't tend to his site but what else can you do?
Yes, he sold off the gasket business at least four or five years ago. He had RV parts stuffed in buildings all over the area. One of his building was hit by a tornado around the time he sold the gasket business. His son was supposed to be helping with the website.
I have been to his place at least three times to buy stuff. I have a cell phone number if anyone needs it.
The last thing to worry about is that somehow Ron is going to screw anybody.
He has had some health problems but is still getting around.
Call him and he will do what he can.
