"The purchaser of this gem"
::)
They should just turn it into a tiny house where it is and rent it out or a chicken coop.
Is the $800 what they will pay you to haul it off?

$800 + cost to haul it off + cost to power wash the inside (I wouldn't let it on my "recycle" lot without it) = scrap price????
Since I'm feeling very pious this morning just let me remind you all of this------

Right, but how much cost and time went into that 450 to 45000 restoration. I had a friend that used to buy old single engine airplanes, completely strip them down and rebuild them. His restoration price differential was also impressive. He said that he did it for hobby purposes only since if he calculated that time and money put into each project, he was making about $2/hour.
Lin, your friend was lucky. I usually have to pay about $15 out of pocket for each hour I put into my projects. ;D

I know a guy who paid a buyer about $10,000 for the buyer to let him rebuild a J-5 Piper. And, you know, that J-5 "looked like all the pieces were there".
I think we all make a loss on our conversions when we eventually sell.
