Guys, Temsa buses are all over. Not that rare and not any harder to get parts for than your GMC buses or some older MCI's. Sean Shanks has a dream to convert a 35' Temsa someday. Not bad little coaches.

Jefferson Bus lines, a scheduled bus operator here, has some Temsas.  I happened to see one at the local bus garage when getting my bus serviced, but I don't recall what I was told about them.

I am wondering about the two red 1999 Dina Viaggio buses in the auction.  They look like the bottom half of the front has been replaced by something from another bus.  They appear to have Mercedes logos on them.

There are quite a few TEMSA TS35's around here as well. They also have a 30' and 40' models too but the 35' is by far their most popular model. They use American powertrain components. The drivers I talked to have mixed feeling about them but mostly they like driving the 45' buses instead.

National Bus Trader has a nice article about the new warehouse facility in GA. Don't knock something you don't know anything about.

I was hoping BK would chime in here on these? Not knocking but not sure, some have less than 100K miles. Has anyone looked at a 30 or 35 foot er? Air bags? Frame? Storage? Rust issues? To many electronics?

There is a couple of the 45ft Temsa here owned by a casino they are not happy with the service C&H provides, nice looking buses though with 425 hp ISX Cummins,Allisons and ZF axles and suspension on all 3 axles that could be problem.
Temsa (C&H) only has 2 service centers 1 in FL and 1 Texas, the casinos buses some RV outfit in Vegas does the work for Temsa

Well I had looked at the thread and can say honestly I haven't had much experience with the Temsa in person.

I know of some in operation around various parts of our "area" but don't personally know of anyone running them.
I do know that we were in the Knoxville Expo Center with the TN Motor Coach Assn. several years back and we started smelling a terrible rotten egg smell. The exhibitors all started complaining to the management of the facility telling them it was a sewage back up smell.
I over heard them discussing it as they were directly in front of our booth and the smell was VERY bad right there.
I heard the maintenance supervisor tell them "Look my guys have checked and rechecked the sewage system adn there is not any kind of smell like this near it, and there is no way it would smell like that here if it doesn't at the system itself!"
I interrupted them and told them to me it smelled like bad batteries. They all looked at me like I was crazy and ask "What? And just what would you know about that and where would that be coming from?"
I told them look I'm just a dumb mechanic that has to work on these buses (pointing to the line of buses surrounding the main floor area) as well as making payments on them and I've smelled bad batteries before and that is exactly what it smells like! And guessing it's right here in this area stranger than anywhere else I'd check that Prevost right there (to the left of our booth) or those Temsa's or what ever it is right there! (Temsa had both a 30' and 45' parked directly across from us)
Turns out the Temsa's both were boiling the batteries due to the onboard chargers they had plugged in so they could show off the lighting and such without running the batteries down.
After they made them unplug the chargers and brought some fans in to circulate the are in the area the smell went away quickly.
The Temsa sales people tried to deny it was there buses causing the smell at first but when they reluctantly opened the battery compartment and even they were almost knocked down by the smell of direct fumes they admitted I was right and agreed to turn off the chargers for the remainder of the show and only charge the batteries while no one was on the floor.

The Temsa sales guys did try and get me to take a look at their coaches and weren't exactly over friendly when I told them "You want me to check one out? Bring it by my shop and let me try it out for 30-60 days and I'll let ya know what WE think of it." They said "We'd have to know you were seriously considering buying one before we could do anything like that!"
I told them "Well thanks for your time, but I'll stick with my Setra's!"

That is the only up close personal experience I've had with Temsa's.

Sounds like they may have communication problems or just not aware that you can't leave a battery charging for indefinite amount of time. I would hope for TEMSA's and their customers sake that they would believe in the idea of the quality going in before the name going on instead of the extended warranty with several pages of small print.
You may have had a bad experience with them but they have to follow their marching orders whether they sell many buses or not.

So anyone here a buyer? Or bidder?
