Title: Help with Allison wiring
Post by: thomasinnv on March 11, 2017, 06:28:40 AM
I need to connect the speed sensor output from the B500 to my leveling control box. The installation manual for the levelors says that the world transmission speed sensor output would be wire 157 and use 143C for the ground. Would the wire numbers be the same for the B500? There is an atec junction block in the front electric junction box, wondering if they might be there already?

Do you have a ECU 2 or 3 ?  I will try and post the wireing for the three.  If it doesn't work send me your email and I will send it to you.

The lock out should be same on a B500 aren't those the same wires the kneeling system uses on the DL3 ? what numbers were on the wires for the handicap ramp lockout on your bus when you removed it

Cliff I figured it out. The speed sensor for the tag axle uses the same sensor wire 157 so it was already wired to the front junction box. Ground wire 143 was also available at the wtec junction block inside the front box.

FYI the kneeling system was wired through the park brake relay system as was the handicap lift. The only thing wired through the speed switch is the tag steering and the rear high rise feature.

The leveling system uses the transmission speed sensor output to automatically activate travel mode when you reach 10mph or more.
