There was a local auction last night (in Ohio) of a 1982 Eagle Model 10 with a 5 speed manual and 6V92 (seated coach). It has been sitting in a storage yard (at $79 a month, currently) since 2005. I noticed it when the bidding was at the $300 level (for days), and I thought it might be worth it for parts and scrap value. It was last used to bring up stuff and people from the Katrina Hurricane, and had been sitting since. The bidding slowly crept up to the final sale price of $1875 plus a 11% fee, and I passed on it (It's 75 miles away). My thoughts are that it must have had value to the person that owned it to have paid around $10,000 to store it all those years, but then to sell it for around $2000, wow, that's sad (as Trump would say). It might have been bought for scrap value. I hate to see old Eagles die, but I have adopted two already. :'(

likely it was being auctioned to pay/recover the storage fees ...
It was paid up for the storage fees, the owner was selling it with the title & keys with a starting bid of $10 with no reserve. It had a lot of usable parts, even an auxiliary fuel tank in the last bay. I was really torn about buying it, but I have a lot of spare parts already.
