Who manufactured the axle? I need a pair of axle gaskets but the local Fleetpride cant cross the Prevost part number or make sense of the axle assembly number.
Thanks,
Mark
I believe it it is a Rockwell. Prevost has all its shop manuals on line along with the manuals for major components supplied by vendors. Their parts guys are also very helpful and can give you trade numbers if needed.
Meritor on mine. I think you will find them intertwined. Meritor has a good web site.
Thanks guys. I'll take another look on the Prevost site. Have to say, Prevost is very helpful on the phone. But, I had to walk a Prevost tech through his diagnostic logic after they spent 13 labor hours trying to find the cause of no air to the rear air bags. I told them it was the 5 way Norgren valve before they started working on it. In the end I was right and they credited off the wasted hours.
Napa truck parts dealers used the have a catalog that showed gaskets and dimensions of axle gaskets for axle flanges. Also you can down load a Euclid catalog that shows them also.

Last page.
Rockwell turned into Meritor.
You can get the gaskets 10 hole or 8 hole @ O'Reilly $1.51 ea
Ryder Fleet Products also has them, same price as O'Reilly's. I recently bought five 8-hole gaskets from Ryder, part number 785 2208X440, after I had to be towed after my new hydraulic fan motor burst.
