How do I lower the brake pedal on my 3800?
It's way higher than the accelerator and so high I clout my knee on the steering wheel every time I need to brake. It's a hydraulic brake.
It's just set too high and could be lowered several inches.

I don't know how to do what you want, and I hope someone has an easy answer. However, if you don't find one, you could add a block to the accelerator to even them out. We put a wedge shaped block on our accelerator pedal to change the angle for my ankle. It worked quite well.
Hydraulic needs to have a bit of travel to compensate for emergency no engine situation-bottom line, you can't really change the height. If it were air brakes, no problem. Change your gas pedal to match-then adjust your seat.
There might be an adjustment for the brake pedal, you just have to look at the mechanism.

There has to be. Having a pedal this high is insane. I know my mechanic friend says it can be done but as he wants green stuff too often, I'm using him as little as possible.

Well the old saying you get what ya pay for is never a false statement!
If I needed to lower one and it came down from above I'd cut it off and weld it back with an extension.
And if it came up from below I'd cut a section out and re-weld it. (but for the record I IF I needed to I'D do it, not that I'd ever need to do any such modifications to a vehicle)
;D BK ;D
Please confirm the full pedal travel that needs to be available in times of hydraulic failure.
You might not have any wiggle room?
Bleeding the brakes is one way to check. The pedal will go much deeper than you've normally pushed it on the road

If you bleed the brakes, disconnect the battery so the electric booster doesn't kick on.
Brake fluid is at the correct level. There has to be some form of adjustment for the pedal. With the engine on or off and with the battery on or off, there's still room with the pedal fully depressed to lower it several inches, possibly 5 inches. The accelerator floors at 55 so I'm wondering if they've just adjusted accelerator travel rather than the governor.

You won't see full travel without a bleeder screw open, that's my point.
You need to check where the real bottom of travel is, to see what wiggle room you have left.
If you blow a hydraulic line, having your adjusted brake pedal against the floor or otherwise not giving you full travel is going to ruin your day?
