Title: PD4107 Voltage Reg
Post by: glerler on February 15, 2017, 01:06:11 PM
This is for GM  PD-4107.  The voltage reg is bad.  Putting out 17.8v+  for a 12v system.  This has the original Delco reg which is obsolete. What is the recommended replacement. I have attached a pic of the reg and gen.  Thx

Replacement is 10503807 Delco for that regulator, there also some aftermarket regulators to replace the 10503807 do a google search, aftermarket regulators are about 1/2 the price of Delco

I had the same setup. When I replaced the DN50 alternator with a rebuilt, I also replaced the big box regulator (which is transistorized) with a digital regulator that's about the size of a pack of cigs. Also, my regulator is inside the bus away from the high heat of the engine compartment. Good Luck,  TomC

Lot of us use the Balmar 3 stage regulator, they are a little pricey though
