Hello,
Does anyone know what the part number is for budd wheel nuts appropriate for mounting aluminum wheels on. I'll stay with steel on the inner wheel and will be running aluminum on the outer dual.
Thanks!
Brian
Sorry. I can't help with your question. But I do have a question of my own. Where are you planning your trip to? You must be going somewhere, because you have three new topics about your bus.
Enjoy!
Hi John,
I am currently living full time in my bus and have been since the end of last April. We are down in San Antonio now and after having run up to Alaska and back last summer I need to do some maintenance. The webasto has been leaking fuel for a year or two now and I want that fixed. The tires currently are 13 years old with over 100,000 miles on them and need to be replaced. I'm doing all this in prep for moving up to Boise later this spring. I want everything repaired and ready that needs to be before heading out at the end of April.
So - just doing prep work now!
Thanks,
Brian

The inner nuts are W620 for the right side and W621 for left side, I will check later for the outer nuts for you.499451P outer nut for left side,499462P for right side, these are for stud pilot wheels you have hub pilot or ball seated all bets are off

Cliff, will it make any difference that he's running a steel rim on the inside of his duals?
This PDF Alcoa manual should be of help...

The numbers I gave him are for the inside steel wheel with a aluminum on the outside,if you run both wheels aluminum it does take a different inner nut it has a tapered flange
Here's a Euclid catalog for nuts and studs. Also contains rear axle hub nuts, washers, and gasket listings.

Hi Brian, sounds like you are busy at it. Sounds like you went south for winter. Nice to see you on the board. Hope everything is well with you & yours.
Thanks for the part numbers! However, I was thinking I'd get part numbers in the MCI format. Are these part numbers that work at Napa or Mohawk? Just wondering how to reference these part numbers.
Dan - how is that engine coming back together?
Its done as of mid December, got it painted up nice too. Ready for another Alaska run!
Euclid part numbers are available at Napa's that carry heavy duty parts and many truck stops or heavy duty parts stores.
You can order the nuts from www.finditparts.com (http://www.finditparts.com) they have the best prices just type in the numbers I posted in the search box , mine came direct from Meritor

I've never bought wheel nuts but I've ordered quite a few things from finditparts.com. Always quick, accurate service at a good price. I recommend them.
If you're looking for things to dress up a bus, I've purchased lights and SS lug nut covers and such from
Iowa80.com The prices weren't too bad and the service was great.

Just another source of neat stuff.
Will,
Have you ever stopped at that place and looked at all the stuff ? It's amazing !

No I haven't. The last time we went east we were on I-90. The people I've dealt with there seemed really nice though.
If you ever go that way, make sure and stop. You could spend all day at the store and another day (or 2) at the truck museum. Pretty cool ! It makes a welcome break from a Looooong boring drive on I-80.
