I am looking for 6L-71 Silver engine complete left or right handed, running or not lol at a buy of course anyone know of 1 out there close to AZ
Hey Clifford. Are you upgrading the engine in the DL3? ;D ;D ;D
Clifford I know of one in TN.
I have no clue if it's a "Silver" or not as it is painted Detroit green.
An Amish friend of mine bought it to power a wheat thrasher and it's too big for his needs. (he's already replaced it with a thermoking engine)
I can ask again how much he wants for it. (he told me but I forgot, an I'm sure he knows very little about it too)
;D BK ;D
B-K get me a serial number from if it is above 4371xxx I may interested
I'll try to get a hold of Fred an see if he can get me that. Other wise it'll be Tuesday before I can go by an get it for you.
;D BK ;D

It is this time of the year Mark ;D
Referring to engine shipping cost. Dan Holter might have one.
Bought an alternator and bracket from this place; http://stores.ebay.com/Trucks-and-Machinery?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 (http://stores.ebay.com/Trucks-and-Machinery?_trksid=p2047675.l2563)
Spoke to Gene Russell yesterday at the Arcadia bus rally an he said he has a couple but at least 1 is promised to someone already.
He said Stan Holter had several. (brother to Dan that Mark refers to)
But he said you should be able to find them ALOT closer to you in a truck wrecking yard. (said the ones he has came out of a truck)
I also talked to Fred about his and he was going to get the serial # an let me know. He's asking $3000 for his.
BTW why stop at 300-310 HP why not go for 325 like Gene is getting out of his? ;D

80 injector 6-71TA was rated at 300hp and 900lb/ft torque. Of which would be my selection as highest horsepower for a heavy bus. Good Luck, TomC
Ours gets best mileage at 325/1040 .rdw
Clifford the numbers Fred sent to me by way of my sister are 6A456165 and 1063-7000
