On 11.30.2016 I placed a small order with Fittings And Adapters through their website for a few items, but to date there is no indication of its order status or tracking. The company has not responded to my email and voicemail last week asking for information, so I canceled my order today. Every time I call their 214-257-8865 number it goes straight to voicemail. They have not charged me for the amount due, so it's not a simple case of theft at this stage.
Has anyone here had any dealings with this company? The BBB rates it as C+. There seems to be a slew of different companies affiliated with them, such as Air Hose Supply and Fitting Supply Inc.

I have never heard of them,,BUT,,if THEY don't care about their business then I sure as hell don't.>>>Dan
Looking at the website, it may be legit but it is not a professional looking site. Could be a small family or individual operating it. Anyone near Los Vegas? That's where they say they are located. Also all I see is a p.o. box. I'd go with a different outfit, unless someone on here knows them. If you entered your cc number, you should block the transaction with the card's bank.
214 is a Dallas phone number try adjusting your time by 2 hours,John give this guy a try he is located not far from me across the river from Needles he has about everything at good prices www.allensfasteners.com (http://www.allensfasteners.com)
I run an ecommerce site myself so am always pretty tolerant of others in the business when buying stuff online. Looking at this company's site I would say that it's highly unlikely to be a deliberate scam set-up judging by the evident knowledge and experience displayed about the products and the buying process - although that isn't to say that scammers can't achieve that effect simply by coping and replicating the website of another company.
What does worry me a lot about this website, though, is that it's very clearly absolutely ancient. The whole look-and-feel is of a site from the early days of the internet - and it's optimised for 640 x 480 screens for goodness sake! I haven't seen a site built to that standard for years - 640 x 480 screens were pretty-much obsolete even when brontosaurs and triceratops were still doing everything in Dos.
My concern would be that this used to be a perfectly valid business but that the company is no longer trading, and the website doesn't know..

A C+ rating from BBB is not a very good rating at all. Take your money elsewhere; there are too many bad signs. :-\
Jeremy, that thought had occurred to me. However, there's a scrolling banner across the top of the home page with the current date on it, so who knows? The prices shown are suspiciously cheap, for example he has an O-ring boss 1" elbow for $10 that I paid $30 for at my local hydraulic jobber - OK, I know the local guy's prices are on the high side, but there's no darn way anyone's making any money selling them for $10. I normally like to spend my money locally at individually-owned businesses, but in this case the prices were so much cheaper that I thought I'd try them out with a small order.
Clifford, I'll definitely check out your recommendation, thanks. Any relation to you?
I'm more annoyed than anything else because I've wasted two weeks waiting for the last parts to complete the project I started in June, completely replacing my entire cooling system. I just needed a few last pieces to install a new hydraulic filter next to the reservoir, then as soon as it's done I can fill the hydraulic system and test my new fan, and then drive the bus for the first time since June. Yeah!
John
The scrolling banner thing that displays the current date is just code in the webpage - no humans involved unfortunately

A lot of these sites the person just works from home and has the parts shipped out by a supplier or another store. I once was ordering wood stove chimney stainless steel parts to do a wood stove install in my garage and every time a part arrived it was from a different location in the US. Then when one part didn't arrive I called and he didn't even know it was back ordered by the other supplier. Then I received two and had to ship one back, his cost not mine.
The Yahoo store was created in 2002, and "updated" or re-registered in 2015. Registrant, Admin and Tech all show same address and contact info. Number is different than on site. Might try it. Probably a one man show where the one man became unable to show and nobody else knows or cares.

I found a posting from February 2006 on a home barista forum that says that Fittings & Adapters is out of business! I'm still curious why their website and voicemail are still functioning after almost eleven years - isn't it costing someone to keep them active? Very strange. Their website says their store is protected by Yahoo - I wouldn't trust Yahoo to protect anything after the latest revelations!

Maybe they paid for a long term contract, web host doesn't clean up loose ends or just keeps paying bill without checking....
Thanks one more time Clifford. When we where changing my engine at your place we used Allen's for several position specific hardware items. They had everything we needed in stock and seemed to have better pricing than I got in Las Vegas.
