Hey. do any of you MCI guys have a Parts manual for an MCI 9 laying around and can look up a part number for me? I found what I'm looking for in the maintenance manual on page 15-6, Figure 15-13 item#19 - Spacer but I need the actual part number so I can source it.
Thanks
Jeff
I have a MCI 9 parts manual open on my desk printed 9-1-90 but the maintenance manual page # doesn't coincide with what you call item 19 tell me what component and I will look that way.
I think the online Maintenance manual page I was looking at is older than yours. It's called a "Spacer" and goes on the front Spindle to space the inner bearing out and the seal rides on the outer side
I attached a jpeg of the parts diagram
Thanks for looking
Jeff
#19 in that image
My book calls it a oil slinger part# 15J-2-18
I just looked that number up and it shows it as the oil seal and in the page I have the "Slinger" shows a number of bolt holes in it that I believe is to keep oil off the brakes if the seal leaks. I'm looking for the ring that shows up between the seal and the slinger
opps your right oil slinger 15C-2-9 I was also on the trailing axle view
I've found that number but I think it should be called a "Spacer" not a "Slinger". I found one outfit that listed the number 15C-2-9 but... it (a) shows as a "Slinger" and (b) it only weighs .2 lbs. That weight seems about right for a stamped metal slinger but it's a bit light for this Spacer which is a machined chunk of steel. Of coruse nobody shows pictures anymore. grrrrr.
Do you see a 15C-2-10 by chance? I found that and it's (a) called a Spacer and (b)weighs 1.3 lbs and seems to cost about right at about $50. The 15C-2-9 was only $14
Yes on a different page 15C-2-10 does show up as a spacer.
I can e'mail or text the pages to you they were too large to attach here.
I think I figured it out. I just ordered them and I'll compare them to the originals when they show up. I'm 99% sure they're correct. I called the vendor and the inside and outside dimensions are all correct.
Thanks for looking. I appreciate it.
