Title: I need an Allison push or pull type modulator cable
Post by: bevans6 on October 22, 2016, 09:51:01 AM
I apparently need one of these, and I guess it can be either push or pull type, I will hook it to the speed control lever on the DD governor.  They seem to be the same between the 640 series, the 730 and 740 series, and it has to be long enough to reach the governor on an 8V-71.  Anyone have one?

Brian send me a address I have one you can have for shipping  do you want the modulator that is attached, what kinda of crap will I get into just shipping the cable separate to Canada ?.It is better if you fab a slide off the throttle rod with a spring to attach it so it doesn't interfere with the governor but if you have a cable throttle it is going to take a little trial and error on your part.

Mine is a Morse 30013-79 the 79 means 79 inches long and has a Morse modulator made on the cable it doesn't look like the cable is removable from the modulator .Check it out on the net and see if it will work for you

Hi clifford, thank you.  I need the modulator and the cable, and the connection to the throttle lever, basically the whole thing.  All I have is a plastic plug in the hole, and the hold-down fork  :)  I could not find that part number on Google, but if it would work on a HT-740 it is supposed to work on the MT 647 as well.  The length should be fine as well.

Ship to 40 Upper River John Road. Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia Canada B0K 1V0.  USPS works great, If you use the mail add PO Box 41.   When you fill out the shipping for to Canada, just put "used bus transmission parts" in the description.  Make sure you let me know how much I owe you.

Thanks, Brian

I forgot to mention, declare the value at $20.00  Low enough so I won't pay any tax or duty, high enough that it's not free.  I would appreciate if you can send me the tracking number so I can tell when it's going to be delivered.  I really appreciate the help with this whole project.
