Title: transit mufflers and dead engines
Post by: NJT 5573 on January 20, 2007, 01:04:24 PM
Guess I'll throw my converter away. www.epa.gov/EPA-AIR/1999/February/Day-26/a482 ,page 9503. Thats a lot of extra wear, not to mention the 19,000 mile failure rate and $2100.00 replacement cost and engine rebuild at around 100000 miles. This is specific to 6V92.

Part of the problem may be that they also switched to MULTI_WEIGHT OIL 15w-40 - instead of Straight 40 CF
