My 4106 has been sitting for about a month since running. The steering appears to be locked up. Have never has an issue with it. I don't think it is a hydraulic issue as the steering wheel will not move at all. Is it common to have issues with the steering gear located below the floor in the driver side front compartment? It has a cap to put oil/lube? Is it serviceable? Can they be purchased or rebuilt?
Thanks in advance.
That's strange, sitting for a month is nothing compared to some coaches sitting for years with no such problem. Is it straight manual, power steering, or air assist? Is there any play in the steering wheel at all? If not, something might be rusted that got wet. Try penetrating oil in any such rusted spot in the steering column, or wait for the other 4106 owners to respond. ;D

i'd be putting it on jack stands and testing some things.
maybe a siezed king pin...
I have never seen this happen but, if the wheel will not move even a little I would suspect the bearing underneath the steering wheel, or the u joint in the compartment under the pilots seat. Either could be rusted.>>>Dan
