Title: Thank You!
Post by: Seangie on September 26, 2016, 12:07:44 PM
For those of you who don't know, we have finally come off the road and moved into a house.

It's been a fantastic, wonderful and amazing 3 and a half years and a good part of that is because of the people in the bus conversion community.

From our first rally at Arcadia with 4 kids in a pop-up trailer with no shower and having to walk to the public restrooms to clean up and brush teeth every night...
To the number of mechanical challenges we have had from flat tires and smoke and hot engines and cold starts, foggy windshields and leaky windows...
To the number of people we have had the chance to meet, young (Scott and Heather) and old (RJ Long) (bwaaa haaaa sorry RJ, had to throw that in there :) ) many people who we just instantly fell in love with and instantly knitted hearts together...
People who encouraged us to take the chance and to also take some insane drives through Yosemite and Down rt 1, Who invited us to places in Michigan and Texas that we never would have put on our map as well as many incredible eats and amazing art and history.

I just want to thank everyone on this board for all you have contributed.  Many probably never realize that the knowledge they share here goes far beyond that single post and has a far reaching affect in lives of people you may never meet.

You all are amazing and wonderful and funny and smart.  Great pool of talent and I'm glad to have been a part of it.

This certainly isnt the end and I am not saying good bye.  We are keeping the bus and will be on another adventure to the east coast this winter.   We will also be working on a possible second spot here at the house for another bus parking spot for visitors. In the meantime there is a beautiful state park right down the street from us at Riffe Lake that has amazing fishing.  So if any of you are ever up this way please let us know. Its a beautiful area and we would love to share.

Again - I can't thank you all enough.

THANK YOU!

Sean & Angie (And kids)

Adventures never end if you keep them in your heart.

I take it you are near Mossy Rock, WA.  Just down the road from us....for BusNuts.

When you get a chance, visit http://www.mcmenamins.com/OlyClub (http://www.mcmenamins.com/OlyClub) in Centralia.  Some people enjoy them and some don't get it.

Well said shanks. We can honestly say we love all of you guys. We were always comfortable around you guys and we always just ourselves with you. No pretenses. It says a lot about how you make people feel in your presence. Always love bus banter between us. Our families understand each other and our joys and challenges in a way no one else understands us because even rv fulltimers march to a slightly different drummer than we do as bus people. There's honestly a part of me that really envies you. Fulltiming 6 years is taking its toll on my sanity and stress level. But it's a necessity for us in our current life calling right at the moment so here we are on bus number two burning up the miles. Can't say we will ever meet another fulltime family that we will love nearly as much as you guys so please don't sell that bus. If I get even a little whiff that you're thinking of selling and not replacing, I'll be on a plane to knock some sense back into you :) normal life is for normal people. And we're not normal shanks. Happy busing. And you haven't even seen a glimpse of Michigan yet so plan a couple of weeks in the summer when we are there.

Sean and Angie and kids. I still remember meeting you at B&B's in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. I was so impressed at the way you all lived in harmony in your Eagle bus. And how the kids seemed happy about it. They must be almost grown up now... Please confirm what town you are living in now. If it is in WA, it is not too far from us up here in Alberta.
