hi All, had some great response about that Dam Rally, it will be so great to get together with you all, Van said he would fix all bus ailments on the spot, Clifford said he was going to rebuild a 16V71 turbo on the spot and Gary said he was going to bring his 1922 4 color printer from the magazine on a 4 ton trailer with its 100amp generator, to power it. I'm going to give lecture on the history of Italians in Las Vegas, and the Mayor of LV is going to bring two showgirls to open the Saturday night getogether. so, should be a great time and it's less then a month away! lvmci...
I bet the Mayor of Parump doesn't have show girls! :D :D :o
Tom less than a month away??? LOL ;D
Dave
Dave, I think the Italian calendar skips the month of October all together so to Tom the rally IS less than a month away. Speaking for myself I'm glad I have the month of October--it should give me the time I need to fix all the stuff I screwed up on the bus since the last Dam Rally!
Jack
Jack, can you also fix everything I screwed up on my bus since the last Dam rally? :D
just wanted to stimulate some bus nuts to make reservations, I guess I should when I get off the road...
DA wife is making them this week!....
Gary did you replace the uhmm the black or brown and Orange if you will hose and end fitting :o ::) ;D.
I am working on our fried, Refrigerator ( still have LP use and am working on replacing the DC and AC heaters in it), Microwave and 32 inch TV. I bought new inside surge protectors.
Guy lessen one if you have an all coach outside surge protector great we did, but if you plug tv's, microwaves, computers etc inside make sure you have a protection at each plug you use for them. We did not when a wirier pulled out of the inverter plug and shorted a few of the circuits attached to it. Just an idea.
hi Dave, B&B may have some used refrigerator parts or whole used refrigerators, tom...
If I can't find the heater AC I will call Gary and see if he has one. N641.3 is the model number for the Norcold.
Tom or Van which is the best way from I-5 to 58/40 to 15 North, then where to the rally. Or
hi Dave, I hope you guys are well, head to the Hoover Dam, from the Nevada side, take hwy US 93 thru LV to Boulder City, just out of town a mile, is the entrance to the Lake Meade National Park, just past ranger station, about a mile, is the entrance, there is a fork in the road, the RV park to the right, campground to the left of the entrance. Please leave the fork on the road! tom...
Dave, we might cross paths in Barstow. We plan to over night there on 11/10 and then head on to the dam on 11/11. We haven't decided if we will take I 15 or 40 yet. 40 is a prettier route but fifty miles longer. Maybe we could get together for a late breakfast or an early lunch before heading on to the rally.
Jack
Dave, you could take I-15 to the Nipton exit then east to Searchlight then North to Boulder City and the Dam

Jack we may be at the Dam by the 11th so says my tour director but if not I would certainly be up for either. Will have to let you know. We do take on fuel in Boron most of the time and sometimes night park behind the corner station across form the Pilot there if you don't mind opening the door 6 times a night for the Train to come thru, LOL ;D
Dave
Tom V. sent you a PM D tried to make reservations today, Buttttt???
Dave

Back in the States after a nice visit with my daughter and the grandkids, so am a little late to this party.

RJ
hi All, here's the skinny on that Dam Rally. Just spoke to Mariam, at reservations at lake mead RV village, the fence line spots are booked by two different RV clubs, we have just made reservations on "8th" st, there are 5 spots on 8th & 4 spots on "9th" st, they are side by side, not one above the other, and, 10th st, one level below is not being used for space updating, for w clear view of the lake, they are pull thrus, and sized for 40'ers, there is bathrooms and washer rooms on this level, $38 deposit, so a total of 9 spots at this moment, Van and I are together at the end of 8th st, and that's where we'll getogether, I would make reservations now, speak to Mariam, ask for streets 8 or 9, and mention that Dam Rally, and tom,
What? When I called and mentioned Tom she hung up on me. I called back again and this time I didn't mention Tom and they had a space for me. ;D
Beware everyone, if you are planning on parking near Cliff and Tom don't plan on getting any sleep at night as they stay up partying all night.
Where do all the Hip cats meet? 8th St... 8th st. Thanks Tom! The nerve of those frikken RV Clubs ;D Yea those that are interested in coming,, come on! Those that are coming, see ya there! The coffee is on us, BYOB and sumtin fer da Pot Luck Dinner.
Out!
They've got us parked on 11 th street----I'll try to get that changed tomorrow. They probably looked at our ages and decided we'd need our beauty rest hence 11 th st address. What they don't know is "I'm not as good now as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was". Who needs sleep?
Lorna has agreed to bake a fresh apple pie for the pot luck. MMMMMMMM, the little oven in Honeysuckle Rose bakes a delicious apple pie.
See you all there! Jack

oh Jack, can't wait for Lornas pie, luv it, I hope she saves two slices with out cinnamon (I'm allergic) for me, nothing is far away in this park or the campground next door, so where ever you are it's just a short distance, I'm sure Lorna will find a great spot to paint her beautiful watercolors, and Van will once again make his statues, watch out for the wood chips flying from the chain saw, he's been informed he can't use the redwoods in the campground any more, so the logging company from mt. Charleston will bring down a mature ponderosa pine this year...tom...
I just hope Van will carve out a place where we can all drive our buses thru the mature Ponderosa pine to have our pictures taken driving thru before he cuts it up into miniature statues of himself swinging an axe. :D
To see even more photos of last years rally check out the BCM Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BCMagUSA/ (https://www.facebook.com/BCMagUSA/) and click on the "Events" tab and choose the Dam Rally Event. If you were there last year, you and your bus is or will appear on this page before this years rally as we add new photos weekly. While you are on that page you will see some of the characters that have already signed up and if you are planning on attending be sure to click on the "Interested" button and change it to "Hell Yes I am Going" so we can be sure there will be enuf Steak and Lobster for everyone.
We are in Row 8 as well and will be in the 10th and staying through the 13 and leaving the 14th. Looking forward to it. We will be giving Camel rides to all that want them :o

Dave! do the cats know they're gonna have company on the trip?...
;D?
If you can wake them up. I think they drink too much because they sleep all day and party all night. And no I didn't know. Did you get a cat?
Cool Dave5Cs
Our pal Jerry from Phrump will be there with the cool (gold) model 01 and his fabulous 60 series upgrade, now would be the time to come out and see how we did it ;) :)
