( Here is a link to the discussion leading up to the first one -- http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=5664.0 (http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=5664.0) )
This one will be -
October 7th - 9th at Palmetto Cove in Cleveland SC
http://www.palmettocove.com/ (http://www.palmettocove.com/)
I have reserved space at the park from October 3rd thru October 9th.
I'm planning on being there Friday morning, but earlier arrivals are welcome.
No reservations required (that's a good thing since The Cove doesn't take them!)
Full hookups, some 50 Amp, rest are 30Amp, all with water & sewer.
You must be fully self contained (shower, toilet, & kitchen) per state health department rules since there are no bath houses there.
There is no rally fee. There will be a donation pot for those who wish to help offset the cost of the meals. Feel free to bring sides or desserts to meals.
The schedule is looking like -
Friday
Dinner- Spaghetti
Saturday
breakfast - ? ? ?
lunch - on your own
Dinner - BBQ
Sunday
breakfast - ? ? ?
Looking forward to seeing y'all there ;D ;D ;D
P.S.
Any suggestions are welcome.
I cannot believe how fast this rally time has come this year, I guess I am getting older after all. I hope the regulars that attend Kyle's rally in both April and November all have their rigs ready to come again as winter is coming right after the rally!! We always have great times at Kyle's rallies and hope more bus nuts will try to make this a regular opening and closing of the bus nut rallies a regular thing to plan on and attend. Try to leave a short note here on this post if you plan to attend so Kyle can get an approximate attendance for food etc. for the rally. AND if possible, try to come earlier in the week for those not needing to punch a clock any more so we can shoot the breeze while the younger weekenders work to pay our SS..ONly kidding now!! Linda and I plan to be there with our Chihuahua's and Guinea pigs as usual. See you there.
Gary If I can keep every one healthy We will be there.
Will this be the bringing out of the eagle.
Will I get to park between Kyles new ride and you this year.
look forward to seeing every one.

This will be one of the few that Karen and I have missed, but we will be in Branson, MO this year.
Tom & Karen
I couldn't wait, so we went up for the weekend. What a wonderful time we had.
This was early Sunday morning
Kyle That Newell will not look so good parked between HUGGY and Gary Lombard's Eagle.
Uncle Ned
Sorry Uncle Ned, Eagle will NOT be at this rally AGAIN. With latest surgery, Left Knee total Replacement, I am having a hell of a time recovering. Being 71 does not help but I am getting there. I let myself down this summer also but will explain more at rally. I have to, have to have bus done by next rally, April, as we are planning a trip to Oregon with Grand Daughter for her Graduation. I only pray that God will give me a break and let me complete my promise to have my bus done by then. So I will be there with the full family in our scamp except for the loss of one of our wonderful guinea pigs, (Peaches) passed away on us just yesterday. We will see you on the 6th I believe we will be going on.

You are right, it will look GREAT ! ;D
It seems that the second weekend in October is a popular time for a rally this year. 10 years ago, there weren't any which is why this date was chosen.
Back to now - would another weekend be better?
Any suggestions or comments as to what you like at rallys would be appreciated.
What other rallies are going on that weekend?
I didn't pay much attention after they said they wouldn't be at mine . . .
I think one is an Eagle rally.
How many of you will be there October 5/6? There's a chance we can pass thru for a night with our 102C3

Scott Huggy and I hope to arrive on wed the 5th or thursday the 6th.
It always depends on the lady in charge.
Hope to see the new coach there.
uncle ned
I am hoping to be there Thursday the 6th
Would love to Kyle, but we're anxious to get back down further south after away all summer.
Best of luck!
Mike in GA
Mike,
You will be talked about !
Mike i am trying to get a new little Honda that I can let you ride if I get it and if I get there.
Had bad luck the last several times. It seems like something happens to us old people to often any more.
Uncle ned
I'll be there in scenicruuser 292, can't make it til Friday.
doghouse, you will be the hit of the rally, wait and see. Who lets the dogs out, Yea baby!!! Look forward to you being there.
Vern & Delmas will be there too. Vern is planning to bring his Scenicruiser.
Man I wish we could do this one. We will be passing somewhat nearby with our 102C3 but because of my work schedule it will likely be Tuesday. Enjoy guys! I'll catch the next one

Kyle, I talk to Pat McNeil with the stretched red scenicruiser, he is going to try to come to the rally. Said he would let me know for sure in a few days. Sounds like we may have more scenicruisers then anything.
If I can't get the front axle spindle replaced, I won't be in the Newell. :'(
Seems the bearing went bad & spun on the spindle & removed some metal - more than I am comfortable with - so I'm replacing it. Fingers crossed.
I will be there in the Newell. ;D
I finished replacing the steering knuckle (spindle) today.
The most challenging part part was getting the bearing axial clearance to spec, but I finally got there.
The hardest part was torquing the steering arm retaining nut to 700+ ft lbs -- the wall was too close to allow use of a longer cheater bar.
Test drive was nice - alignment seems to be perfect, no pulling or wandering and the steering wheel is still clocked in the same position. Wanted to keep going - was hard to turn around & return home. :o
The first bus has arrived - & it is a SCENICRUISER !
Can't wait till I can sneak away from work . . . .
Hope to be there Wed. going to be sure GM's are well represented
Thursday morning Breakfast at Pumpkin Center. Best country Ham around.
uncle ned
.
Where is Pumpkin Center? I would like to try it.
I am planning to be at the Cove friday afternoon.
Pumpkin Center The center of the universe in South Carolina. The 4 way stop sign about 10 miles down Hy 8 towards Pickins.
The grill is in a old country store but they do feed you. Don't they Ed Hackenbush. Will miss you two this year.
Loosing to many old friends as we get older.
No Bob Weise or Dave Bulock do not know about John from Costa Rico i think.
we can go down any morning any one wants to. best country ham ever.
