Looking for a shop to replace rear axle seals and check out the brakes. Any suggestions near Evansville In?
A company I worked for had a small fleet of bucket and digger trucks stationed in evansville. We used Nicholas Fire and Fleet. No idea what they charged but they did good work.

BK place is about 160 miles. Between Nashville and Memphis. Trying to think of someone local for him. I would think any of the big truck repair guys could do it. Prob 10 plus in area. I would ask down at Hardy Brake whom they would suggest. He has been there and is close for him. Reis Tire on Columbia street ? Luke is owner. Meisler truck. Has a big shop. There is a place on 66 just past Blairsville that works on tractors & trailers. I will ask around. I Have your number. Bob

Now for the stuff you are having done this time around ANY of the truck repair shops could handle.
Just gotta watch Clarke on major jobs they tend to get quite pricey and not care if you have the $ to pay or not! I've seen more than one owner abandon buses there after the bill was too high for them to afford! (I am not saying they are crooks, just saying to make sure that you get an estimate up front and make sure they let you know if it's going to be more!)

Don't know how serious it is but if you were headed toward Choo-Choo soon there is a shop there we all trust. Chattanooga. Also Scott does mobile work and will be back on his feet in couple weeks (bad kidney stones) Great rates and good worker. New Image bus lines has shop on ST. Joseph North of Rural King.
You may or may not have good luck with Clarke it is that way in all shops.I had one leaking seal so I decided to do all the wheels it ended up with no labor costing me over 2000 bucks in parts alone with longer studs for the Alcoa's.
I don't care who does it by the time you clean , replace parts and fill with grease it takes 3 to 4 hrs a wheel at least
Paying Clarke $130+ per hour to work on a coach seems crazy to me for axle seals... Finding a place to work on a bus is time consuming and challenging but simple work like that can be found at much less expensive rates. I'd shop around a little bit unless money is no object. I'm 2.5 weeks out from being released back to work and I have a couple Indiana and Kentucky jobs lined up when I get cleared by my dr. So I can't schedule anything for a month or so, but you should be able to find a shop to do that for 1/2 - 2/3 less expensive.
You remember the old grab bags you bought when you were a kid.lol pulling a wheel from a old bus is the same it will be full of surprises that cost money to repair.All good trucks shops are in the 120 to 150 dollar range.
For the 1st time had my oil changed by one of the major truck stops on my 60 series knowing what I pay for oil and filters best I could figure they charged me $185.00 a hr just to change the oil.I didn't mind it too much I know their overhead cost a lot but if something happens you have a recourse it may cost you some attorney fees.
Me I would have taken it to a MCI repair center the wear ring on a MCI axle can be a bear to remove and replace without the proper tools I know I nicked a ring and had to pull the wheel again ;D

Check the locations on their web page I don't know what is close to you.Where I live WW Williams Detroit Diesel is a authorized repair center with factory trained technicians for MCI in Vegas and Phoenix and they do a damn good job too it cost but they do it right
