With my recent power steering problems now my control valve is leaking like a screen door on a submarine :'( MCI says they are a discontinued item no rebuild kits either, also Luke confirmed what MCI told me so now I'm in need of one, Does anybody know of one that I could pickup. I need it fairly quickly as we are to leave on a trip the 8th of August. I took the old one apart and all it has is the square O rings but I'm not sure if they are anything special, I'll have to try my truck supply place and see if they have anything that would work. Any help or leads on on would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jason

Try finding a parker hyd. store. Or even a hyd. jack repair shop if you can find one these days. >:(I would also look up straight line steering. and maybe Jefferson bus. and sam caylor bus. been a good resource for me.
Caterpillar used every kind and size of O-ring ever imagined..round, square, Buna-N, black ones, yellow ones, red/brown ones and steel backed ones...
there is hardly not one they do't have.
If you can find the same thickness and width in another O ring, you can make your own square O ring using a drop of Super Glue to hold the ends together. I bought an O ring kit which was nothing more than various lengths and thicknesses of O ring material that you cut to size and used Super Glue (also supplied) to make your own rings. Tractor Supply has square O rings.

BAB or StrightLine should have a kit for the control valve
Thanks guys I will do some calling tomorrow and see what I can find
Thanks Jason
Little update, I'm getting a exchange from Straight Line in California, They did offer a rebuild kit but I opted for a rebuilt one mainly for the ease of just bolting it on since I don't have much time to mess with it. Hopefully I'll have it in a couple days and be back together by the weekend.

I think that's an excellent choice Jason, they have set it all up at the specs and should get you on the road in short order.
have a good day there
