Hello: From time to time over the years, I have heard of people selling housings that they bought/didn't need, but not sure if anybody has ever found a company that makes PODs for TV cameras. Anyway, I'm looking for a rear camera housing, if anyone has a tip/lead as to where to purchase one, new or used, please let me know thanks. Gerry H
Gary at B&B Coach in Vegas had some 702-873-4415
Yep! We still have a few, call Gary Bennett.

How about a picture and a price?
Yes, I would be interested also.
Wow - guess there's a need for a source. I called, left a message, haven't received a call back. Someone should start making these out of fiberglass. Thanks Cliff for the tip, but still looking. Gerry H
Try making it out of sheet metal or aluminum. Might be doable.
Of course it's doable. What some folks need is not to have to "do" everything. There's never a shortage of projects.
Bottomacher: Well said, now can you get those "rate suckers" off my windshield? Gerry H ;D
Sorry didn't mean to be so silly as to suggest something so stupid. :o
Dave
Some people use a modified dryer vent ( the plastic one) for the house they look good if you do it right
Gerry it may be a longshot but take a look at some government type sales, pertaining to traffic / red light cameras.
There is bound to be a pile several places, you could be a new houser of such ;D
good day there

Yes Cliff, I look at those every time I am shopping at Menards, and if I had a small camera that would probably do the trick and slick, BUT I have a larger Sony camera that looks like the old black 8 ball kids toy. It would take a good 6" surround for it to work. So I would prefer a fiberglass hood type. Maybe I'll take up a new hobby after my bus conversion is done. Dave I know you meant well, if you make a really nice one, maybe I'll buy it from you! Can you make it out of #304 stainless? ;D Floyd, that's an idea, Thanks Gerry H
You might find an automotive door mirror housing you could use.
If you have to have a clear filter that could be a problem though, but its an option and many have a sealed wire path.
Heck with some you could take the glass off its mount and replace with the camera and have a motion cam
good day

Might be a good time to upgrade. The current cameras are much smaller with clearer, sharper, color images and night vision. I purchased a system from Rear View Safety for my pickup truck. Has 3 camera inputs. I bought a small license plate camera add on off eBay, that I use for connecting to my trailers that works perfect every time. My coach currently has an old Sony system with a fairly small camera and a 9x9 monitor b&w with nightvision that I will upgrade to the one I use in the truck. Read extensive review on Amazon before purchasing system.

I used a 45 degree PVC fitting for my camera housing and glassed it on to my back cap. I had to cut it to blend with the back cap, pretty easy job, works for me.
MC8 Mike: I have been toying with close to the same idea only with a 6" union that I would cut to the angle I need. Also saw another item today that could work for others with smaller cameras. They make a roof piece that goes over pipes exiting the roof (house) made of rubber that would seal and also be flexible ,easy to cut. about 5" across and 3" deep and angled. My Sony is still state of the art, just bigger. This can't be harder than building a motorhome. Thanks everyone for all the input, still looking. Gerry H ;D
