My mechanic is having trouble figuring out how the backup lights are activated on my bus. Lights are not working.
Does anyone know how this works?
Thanks-
-Nate
Should be switch on the transmission with 2 wires is it a Allison ?
It's a manual transmission, Spicer I believe, not sure to be honest.
All the manuals are in the bus right now at the shop.

6 speed "W" shift pattern?
happy coaching!

The manual transmission will work off the shift linkage either up front or at the rear
Besides the obvious, dishonesty, why would they have spent 4 hours chasing wires and not find this?

don't know their reason... but...there are only 2 places to look. on the transmission and on the linkage...
did they fix it...?
I have no idea what transmission you have but on a 7 speed the backup switch is on the very top of the transmission where the shiftier goes into the transmission,it's easy to see I have had to change the pin that works the backup switch several times before
I have the 6 speed spicer and the switch is on the top of the tranny.
Ck grounds at lights. Common problem. Been there. Just a possibility.
