As a newbie to the bus world and this forum I have to say that you can find just about anything you need to know on this forum. With a little research here I was able to create a converter so that the lights on my tow dolly work properly. That should be the last to do list item to be ready for vacation!
Made the same one works great.
Since all my lights are LED, I just simply spliced into the wiring harness in the back to the plug. I use magnetic lights on my towed, since the bus has separate turn and stop lights. Never had a problem. Good Luck, TomC
I used the converter but put a plug in bumper of my Jeep. I ran 4 wire to the back through the frame, then pulled my back light covers and put two 1157 light sockets in the housing so that running lights and turns signal look like they are the Jeeps. The regular brake lights come on when the Surge brake is activated.

The issue with a lot of older buses is the lights are 24 volt. Your bus should be 12 volt I would think. My bus has 12 volt lights and separate turn/brake lights, but I still had to buy a converter for some reason I can't recall now.
Brian, maybe was that converter to go from a separate turn/brake light system to a single combination brake/turn system?
The electrical gifted bus guys build the converters for 5 bucks worth of diodes someway to separate the lights,Tim Wice knows how to do it
