Was stupid today and clipped my brick mailbox and damaged my right rear cargo door. Anybody know where I can get a door for a 1982 MCI MC9??? Or in the very least the black rubber trim it ?

You can probably get one from Transit Sales in Riverside, CA if you are not too far away.

Maybe someone out there can find you one closer. There are plenty of them around.

These are heavy to ship. Reflector is now gone also.
Let's prevent another occurrence...
You watch the side of the coach go around the corner, or move sideways in any way, in the convex mirror.
ALL THE WAY AROUND, both sides, every time, FOREVER.
This is a mental re-training exercise. Humans, male humans in particular, aren't good at setting their mind to the reality that mistakes in judgement and observation happen. Why not just have a set of habits that defend against missing things?
Look away too soon, that's when you hit things, in the last 1/4 of the cornering event.
Stuff alongside you "changes" from what you thought was there, whether that be a mailbox you misjudge, a pole you didn't notice, a chasing dog, or a kid on a bicycle, an auto that slipped in beside you, etc...
Both sides, every time, all the way, FOREVER.
happy coaching!

I did that with my transit bus. Except, it was just a aluminum sheet metal panel. The panel is 36" long by about 20" high. It had 93 rivets holding it on (I know-had to drill out everyone of them). I had a new panel made and then used phillips head sheet metal screws (about half as many) to re-install (Thomas school buses use phillips head screws to hold on the outside panels). I had the paint matched up and now cannot even tell the difference.
So goofing a cargo door up, I can understand the frustration of that. Good Luck, TomC
Thanks everyone. Looks like just the rub rail and lower panel are damaged. Ordered parts from IBP Industries this morning.
I have learned my lesson... luckily it was in my driveway and my mailbox.....
...And I thought the Big Newbie mistake was buying a bus in the first place ;D

Just gives ya more stories to tell around the campfire when you go to a Bus rally... ;D

Hey Steve
I was born on a farm and driven all kinds of heavy farm equipment all my life. So after 50+ years, I buy a prevost in Jacksonville FL. I drive it 1600+ miles back to southwest MO and clip my mailbox damaging the lower bay door panel entering my driveway. It happens! Just like they say of pilots; there are those that have landed with the gear up and those that haven't, YET! Thankfully, I am in that latter category but I know my time is coming.

I hate to admit it but I am an old farm boy too and drove heavy equipment a lot in my younger days and even a tractor trailer, but when I brought my 40' MC-9 home the first day, I clipped the STOP sign on the first corner in the RV Park I lived in.
Since while we are on the subject of Lets Prevent This From Happening Again, check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE2nSgNYW0A (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE2nSgNYW0A) as this is the ultimate safety system. Since I has this system installed earlier this year, I stopped running into things and the kids in the neighborhood are playing outside again. :D

Thanks guys, we do all make mistakes at some point.
Gary, the omnivue looks great, definitely on my list of future upgrades.
Thanks to some perfectly fitting parts from IBP I got my baggage door repaired today.
Been there too, but mine was only a 10 ft trip---but I forgot to unhook the 50 amp cord from my garage!
I now refer to it as the shortest, most expensive trip I ever took!
