Title: Alternator Size

Quick question.... how many amps does my alternator produce?

If you have the big Delco 50DN they produce 270amps @ 24V (28.2v when running). Good Luck, TomC

Mulitply 28.2 volts by 270 amps gives 7614 watts

depends on the model.
the one that i had was 240. i replaced it with 180.amp a few years ago.
