Title: 4104 Help
Post by: 4104SoFl on May 03, 2016, 05:32:21 AM
Does anybody know where I can get a book on a 4104. Tearing it a part to start a conversion and then converting it.

Maybe I'm missing something there.
I had already check them out and it appears that they only have manuals, which I have.
I was looking for a book on converting a 4104 (Tear it down and rebuild it)

I think as long as they have been around (4104) that somebody has written a book on this subject.

You probably just need to get ideas from other owners I have never saw a book specific for conversions on any model bus all were generic but this is a good place to ask

I have never seen one on a specific bus, bus nuts do it their way by looking at other conversions and then deciding on what they want to do with the budget they have and go from there. Some do a simple coversion and others a total rebuild. It is your decision as to how much you want to do and are able to do.

Well you can only hope.
Bus was converted back in 72. I'm alright with the conversion.
The wiring is original and falling apart.
There has been some patch work, but it need to be all new wiring for saftey sake.
I was hoping for some sort of book on tearing it apart and a simple wiring system.

I have had the "Bus Wiring for Bus Nuts" book for a while.  It's worth its weight in gold.

George Myers website does not work anymore. You have to print out the form and send it to them if there is still an address on it. Then send a check to them. We had to call them and talked to his wife and she said they haven't done this for a few years but would sell us a few books. Nice people and good books.
