Title: PD 4107 airbag help
Post by: TheMightyQuinn on April 26, 2016, 10:28:53 AM
Ok, ive got my bus on blocks so it wont fall on me. All 8 bellows are blown out and i believe they are close to original. Valves are ok, can clearly hear the bags leaking air. Question is, where can i get all 8 bellows for this thing? They are Goodyear super cushions. Google is useless.
I have to get this bus off the property by Saturday so any advice on where to get them would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Mohawk bus parts or Luke in New Jersey at US Coach. How bad are they leakng? Will air compressor overcome the leaks? In an emergency, you could move the coach while it is on the stops as long as you have enough ground clearance and take it real easy. How did they all manage to be blown out?
Make sure that it isn't something else leaking. The coach won't start to fill the bags till approx. 60 to 70 lbs. in the brake system. Shouldn't have air beams.

Try Firestone air bags.

Its going to be hard to get them delivered and installed by Saturday. If your brakes will air up, can you just pull onto street parking for a couple of days? Front bags aren't too hard, but rears require a bit more work, and there may be other problems, so you should allow time to do it completely and correctly. Luke is very acommodating, and UPS should be able to get them there (just) by weekend. Good luck

Ok, talked to Luke today after his vacation and he gave me a price i couldnt refuse for all eight bag assemblies. So time to save my pennies and start buying a bag at a time.

Got to drive the bus for the first time today. Hasnt seen the road for almost a decade. Almost two months later she was driving wonderfully minus no suspension.
Thanks for all of y'alls help and suggestions! Hope to see yall on the road soon!
