Most auto supply stores carry the gas lift cylinders. Just go in and look at their catalog and order them. I ordered two 110lb rated ones for my back engine door that work great. Were less than $100 for the two. Good Luck, TomC

John,

I will get you some pics of the setup on my 4905.  I think I bought them from McMaster Carr.  I needed like 2 with a 250 lb rating because I used the original torsion bar fastening point on the upper side of the door.  The distance from the hinge is very small, so more force is needed.

The weather is not very favorable for outside pics right now, but I will post them on the board as soon as I take them.

Steve

That would be awsome. I just want to see the set up and how the mounts are. I am ordering also from there and from ed on the mounts. Any info would be great. So i know what i am getting into ahead of time. And also plan on doing this the same time i am installed the last 30 s/s hinges i got from ed
