Title: Moving shifter to Left side of drivers seat
Post by: captain ron on January 15, 2007, 01:46:29 PM
If I can make my drivers seat swivel I would then want to remove the modesty panel an d move my shifter and emergency brake over to the left of my drivers seat. I have an Alison 740 A ATEC tranny so I'm sure there are no linkages to mess with all wiring. Can I easily just extend the wiring to reach the other side? Or is there more to it than that?

Can't help you with the automatic but Bob Belter has a 10 spd that shifts on the left side - now thats WAY cool.

Ron- yes you can.  Just make extension wires and extend the air lines for the parking brake.  Fairly easy.  Good Luck, TomC
