Sean, we are spending time with the Shanks family and you came up in the discussion today as I chatted with the other Sean. I mentioned to them how much I enjoyed reading your blog posts as you float your way around the coast. Last I read, you were in Florida at one of your favorite restaurants. The rumor is that you guys are selling your coach? Are you committing to ship life at this point? Hope you occasionally pop onto BCM to share your knowledge. You're an appreciated resource here. From what I'm learning, there's a decent amount of information, systems and design overlap between our land yachts and yacht yachts :)

Yeah, I miss Sean's technical knowledge and clear explanations of what he knew.
According to their Blog they are still selling if the price is right ( no idea what it is though). It is last read somewhere in storage back east and they we they go it each year to clean it up and charge bats which he had to replace this year. sean was writting for Gary and Phil some electrical articals for BCM occasionally still. HTH :)
Have noticed a lot of the original Busnuts don't seem to be around anymore on the boards. Some have gone to FB others have just gone I guess.
I look one day at the bottom of the opening page there was 8 of us on and 134 guest's? Found that interesting!...

Yeah, we need a busnut revival. Tons of new blood...that's good.

Too bad we don't have a Busconversions get together like we first had in Laughlin, NV in 1995. Good Luck, TomC
A bus/busnut gathering would be great. I wonder if the Motorhome Hall of Fame in Indiana would be interested in hosting a gathering. It is fairly central off I80. They have a very large parking area ac power would be your generator/no hook ups. Maybe water from the building on a long hose if needed and a sanitation truck if needing to dump. Anybody in that area that could stop by and see them to discuss if the BCM site has enough serious interest.
Hi All, well we are our own FMCA/GOOD SAM, and have formed our own gatherings Rallys and NRGs, maybe we should have regional gatherings then a national getogether, just as fmca/sams have done, after all those organization's started off differently then evolved. Maybe repurpose existing formal rallys or nrg s to make them into regional and then as scansel and TomC mentioned a centrally located yearly convention, I'm sure the manufacturers and suppliers would love to have a builtin demographic market to sell to, the quartzsite of busconversions, they could offset costs, lvmci...
P.S. didn't FMCA start out as busconversions?
Just another Blythville would be great. It and Arcadia are the best attended of all rallys.
uncle ned
What is the future foe the "Arcadia" group? Have enjoyed about 6 of them.
hi All, we should probably not be changing this thread on Sean to the subjuct of a national busconversion convention, I will start a separate thread line on busconversion national convention, lvmci...
lol. Well I posted in your new thread. I am hoping Sean see this thread and at least updates us on his plans :)

We attended every Bus Conversion Rally that Mike K put together, vendors stopped coming because the market just wasn't there. The seminars were good I always set in on Dick Wrights he would walk you through the inverter and generator setup. There were other like Jim the RV Safety guy he had a good seminar but I really don't see vendors spending the money on a bus rally today they do the FMCA gig and that is about it now lol I posted this in the wrong thread and I don't know how to move it ???
