Title: MCI MC9 door and drivers windows
Post by: carneybus on March 08, 2016, 10:30:00 AM
hey all anyone know where I can find these windows? I went to my local class store they told me no. then I called MCI they do not make them anymore. then I called motion windows. that's a bit too much and they would ship them and I don't want them broken when they get here. plus its an 8 week build time. so if anyone has an extra or if they know someone who does let me know.

Id be willing to come get them. If they are within a few hundred miles.. I'm in Tennessee.

I have a driver's window out of an 82 MC9.  Your's if you want to come get it.

I'm northwest of Minneapolis. That's only a "few hundred miles".  ::)

It may be possible I can get it transported to northeastern Alabama in May.

I had my glass shop cut one, as standard auto safety rated.
This is a pretty common glass thing in my area with all the construction, ag, etc.
I did find though some are like a 1/2" thick on door window upper, so a good look at fastening/rubber mouldings. They have some differences on inside with spacers and stuff.
My replacement was the std 1/4 type
good day

I bought a T Slider drivers window from Motion Glass. You have no worries on it being broken during shipping, it is exceptionally well packaged. They are pricey but  it was well worth it for the slider. BRMAX- your glass guy was able to cut the curved part of the glass?  My local guy said he couldn't do it. The reason I ask is because I now need to replace my door window because its a little foggy. I dont have a need for a slider and really dont want to wait or spend the money for Motion when its just a regular window.

Again, I have the driver's window and can probably get it transported to Ft. Payne area.

Hell, I just looked where Clarksville is. He's probably driving right through there on the way back. If you want the window, it's yours.
I can send photos if you want to see it.

I recently bought a drives slider window from Motion. It even came with new one piece rubber weatherstrip to mount.
