Ordered some Delo 100 from O'Reillys at their normal $17.99 a gallon. It came in today so I went to pick it up. The gal rang it up and said all Delo products are on sale. Not sure if it's all O'Reilly stores but I got it for $12.99.
It is $18.99 a gal here with 25% off it still cost me $14.25 a gal you got a buy
UPC # is 23968391454 if any want to check their local store ,Napa here has the buy on filters I got the 3120 and 3118 fuel filters for less than 8 bucks a set, the 1970 oil filter cost 9 bucks heck of a deal on filters for a 2 stroke
O'Riley here in Johnson City, Tn can't even order it.
The only place I ever find it is NAPA for Rotella Straight 40
Our O Reilly's always has it for 12.99 to 13.99.
Dave
They all say that Dave find some body and give the them the number I posted they can order it my O Riley's told me the same .It is a strange outfit being from MO you have to show them.I have had no luck getting Delvac 1240 there and they sale a ton of Mobil oil only 1 time was I ever to buy Delvac 1240 at one of their stores.I went to buy Delvac 1300 15/40 on sale and they had nothing but Delvac 1240- 40W now they say they cannot order it go figure
Just bought a few cases for $18.99 a gallon here in La Grange Tx. What a rip.
;D big rip off a 42 gal barrel of oil sold today on the market for little over 32 bucks @ 18.99 a gal Glen that would have cost you 800 bucks,just sayn for 2 gals you could have bought a barrel
Just bought 3 gallons (https://busconversionmagazine.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fuploads.tapatalk-cdn.com%2F20160226%2Ffcac8dd59d383b82b41df22e4b54da30.jpg&hash=48500541c6ec5f6264e2ec04b6d9a8864a20c7e8)

Now read the jug where it says approved for MTU 1 and MTU 2 engines, the oil co's are dumping all the C rated oils getting ready for the new API classifications coming in June it should get interesting ;D
So.....Delo 100 is better to use in my 8v71 than Delo 400, correct?

Affirmative. It says right on the 400 bottle posted above not to use it.
Tikvah,sounds like you need to talk to another sales person .I live in Asheville which is not that far from Johnson City and I have no problem at all getting O'Riely's to order it .I swear when the few old timers that work these supply houses retire, I don't know what we are going to do.It will be like Lowe's selling auto parts!!
I have always had to give them the part # CHV-100-40-1. That was actually the Kragen number, so O'Reilly mat have changed it.
UPDATE: Just checked and it is the same number. Maybe it's Chevron's.
Hi;
Just picked up 6 gal of Delo oil from our local O'rileys store. Delo 400 is on
sale now. Don't know the difference between Delo 100 and Delo 400, but
it is OK for our old diesels. My coach is almost due for an oil change and
this sale is just in time. Thanks for the head's up Brett.
Merle.
I have not checked on the bottle in our local store, but the picture that Scott posted above shows the 400 bottle with a note saying it is not recommended for two strokes. Does it have the same statement on your bottles? In any case, I would not use it.

Yeah Cliff, Rip for sure but had to have it as I was getting my oil changed and had to have it. Dropped all 3 cases out on the floor at Prevost Houston and the boys put all 9 gallons in motor. Can you say big mess, as engine blew it out breather tubes. My fault as I should and will from now on, check it before I leave.
Delo 400 is not recommended for 2 stroke Detroits. Delo 100 is the right oil, rated CF2, for 2 stroke Detroit.

HI all;
Just took my Delo 400 back to the store. They said they can get Delo 100 in
a couple of days. No hassel - - - - no problem. Will just exchange oil
when the right stuff comes in.
Thanks for pointing that out guys.
Merle.
