I would like an easier way to sound the air horn. Mine is the stock foot valve on the shelf to the left. It is back a bit, so it is hard and awkward to reach. Often I wish I could give someone a little hoot, but I don't because it is too much trouble. Is there a valve that I could mount up high with a rope that I could pull, like in a truck? Or I see hand valves in some catalogs that could be mounted within easy reach of the left hand.
What have you guys done?

Just hook it to the horn button on the steering wheel all it takes is the Hadley solenoid valve they cost about 40 bucks that is where I control my horn from I didn't like the foot valve but I didn't want the Lanyard valve with a cable or chain to pull either
ditto.
All the new coaches are solenoid activated. MCI favours a button on end of turn signal stalk, Prevost has been doing steering wheel buttons, either dedicated or selectable between air/electric horns by a dash switch.
That stock heel operated valve can be moved, if you desire it in a different place?
happy coaching!

i have a select swicth on the dash for a standard 3 note electric horn or my air horn. both which work off the steering horn. easy peasy.
actually thinking of adding a third one.
I always wanted a horn that mimicked the sound of loud squealing tires that sounded like you were breaking really hard. I figure that will get the attention of people in front of you that may have just pulled out in front better than any horn. ;D
Lol. I always wondered why on earth the horn button was in a place that you had to basically act like you had to use the restroom to reach it. Weird. Awkward. Yeah, I definitely would have time to go through all that during a panick stop.

I have two twin air horns on my roof. I bought two truck type pull valves. Mounted them side by side with a pull chain connecting the two. Now I can just pull the higher one, or just the lower one, or pull both sets to get a nice 4 tone horn. When it gets really bad, I have my push button solenoid operated train horn (which I have used many times). Good Luck, TomC
Where can you get a train horn, that would be perfect for those idiots that cut in front of you and slow down. ;D
I bought my train horn on eBay 190 decibels .Very loud my wife gets annoyed when I just sound them off for her to get moving lol
