Last simmer I used the EPDF rubberized coating to seal the bus's roof. Worked well.
Now the once brilliant white finish has started to accumulate soot and there's some
streaking down the sides.
Clean Green? Something better?

Thee best cleaner I've ever found is Oil Eater. Mix 50/50 will take dirt, grime, oil, grease off easily. Can use it for spotting clothes, and spotting carpets before cleaning. I have dry washed my bus with oil eater. Good Luck, TomC
TSP is another option.
Family Dollar and General Dollar Stock a Degreaser that is so inexpensive that it is ridicules and does one heck of a job.Just make sure to rinse it off before it dries. It is yellow and comes in a clear spray bottle.
Watch the TSP on aluminum, and on strength. Works good. Mix it warm and add a little bleach if you dare.
I've used simple green or carwash soap in a bucket and add some bleach, or in a spray bottle and brush it around. then rinse before it dries. Leave in sun for a day before you think it is not clean enough. Most spots will dissappear. Works good on underside of awning too.
If the TSP is the real thing (trisodiumphosphate) it will eat a hole in aluminum right before your eyes. Check the label for that particular chemical and then use only if you dare. The real TSP is almost impossible to find these days thanks to the EPA, but way back when, it was probably the best cleaning agent ever. Jack
The danged EPA did away with DDT because it supposedly was killing the Honey Bee's .Well guess what . The bee's are still dying and we are being overrun by bed bugs,cock roaches and mosquito's.Nothing to do with roof cleaning ,just musing's from an old f---------------olk!!!

If DDT had not been banned, the bald eagle (this country's symbol of patriotic might and power) would probably be extinct here by now. Rachel Carson's seminal book Silent Spring was the catalyst for banning this poison, not the EPA.

This is getting off topic, but I will put in my one cent anyway (I can't afford two). The way the government regulates chemicals is different than most people think. Most believe that if a chemical is used in consumer products, it is considered safe. Actually, any chemical that has not been proven unsafe can be marketed and sold to consumers. There was ample evidence that there were problems with DDT by time they got it removed, and it was not merely the affect on birds that was the concern; it was the effect on us. Of course, if you kept buying Mexican produce or produce from other DDT friendly nations, you were still getting your dose of it.
Someone mentioned using that yellow spray available at dollar-type stores for cleaning/degreasing. I believe he was talking about Awsome, which works really well. We use it as a general cleaner at home. You really do not want to inhale the fumes when you spray it. It will make you start to cough on immediately! I spray it and stay away from it until the fumes are gone, then come back to clean up. My wife affectionately calls it "carcinogen spray".
It's the systematic pesticides that are killing the bees now. Feed the plant poison, it gets in the pollen, and the bees die.
TSP will also eat a hole in paint. It cleans great though.
